Top Effective Natural Fertility Methods

"Infertility affects about one third of the people. Apart from tracking fertile period based on ovulation, there are natural fertility methods that can boost fertility"

Natural Fertility methods are the methods used to observe bodily symptoms like cervical mucus to determine a woman's sexual fertility. Natural fertility methods are the simple and easy methods to use, where only the curiosity is needed to learn and the persistence to observe the changes in your body over the time.

It is important to know that the female body is only fertile for the limited time during your menses and you should keep a track of your fertility days, and ideally, this hormonal fertility coincides with the natal lunar phase fertility time.

1. Natural Fertility: The system works by observing the female body as it moves through the menstrual cycle. There are various indicators of fertility you should know and the important ones are given below:
  1. Basal temperature: Basal temperature generally refers to the temperature of the body taken when the body is at rest. This simply means that as soon as you wake up in the morning and before you get up and get engaged in your daily tasks, Usually, the basal body temp will be steady throughout the first half of the menstrual cycle, rising markedly just after ovulation period, and it stay high until menses occurs, or the body temperature just remain high if you are pregnant.

  1. Vaginal Mucus: Cervical mucus will keep changing throughout the menstrual cycle as you have to keep checking it from being dry, thick or pasty, that means infertility and wet and slippery means you are in your fertile period. With this, you should always keep a track of your ovulation period.
Cervical mucus is important and the job of cervical mucus is to either restrict or allow the sperm penetration via the cervix. When you observe the mucus, the question arises is "Could a sperm swim through this type of cervix mucus?" It will help you to decide if you are fertile or not.
Symptoms vary from woman to woman or characteristics of mucus, there might be lots of differences in the wetness, smell, pastiness, color, so only you can know what your cervical mucus pattern is. Personal observation is the important key.

2. Observing mucus: You have to observe the mucus that is ready at the vaginal opening. You just have to touch the mouth of the vagina or if you have issues with that, then wipe the vaginal mouth with a normal tissue paper and then you can feel mucus from that too. Closely check if it is dry or there is no mucus then it simply means you are infertile.

If you found that the cervical mucus is wet or profuse and slippery then you are fertile. The changes in cervical mucus from dry to wet simply indicate that your fertility phase is coming and changes from wet to dry indicate that your fertility phase will be going to over soon. Factors like illness and infection can all affect mucus observation, which is why proper instruction in these methods is very important.

3. Contraception:
  1. Knowing that when you are fertile period starts makes it much easy to conceive or plan to get pregnant and that time one can avoid using contraceptions eg diaphragm or condoms that do not interfere with your bodies natural hormonal function. Or if you don't want to use contraception at all, you may abstain from intercourse all together at your fertile period. It may be best, however, to be prepared as libido is often high at the fertile period, and if you do not wish to conceive you are taking risks.
  2. Chances to successfully conceive are increased by timing intercourse at your fertile time.
